Identity

Most people are searching for a place—a pub, a coffee shop, or an open space—where they can connect with others they identify with. But true identity goes deeper: it’s about feeling valued, whole, and at peace with who we are. Often, we hide our struggles and vulnerabilities, especially around people we want to impress.

Through workshops, meet-ups, events, and conversations, my vision is to create spaces where people can think, open up, and speak honestly. Bringing together diverse individuals—sharing, listening, and engaging—can be a starting point for experiencing authenticity in community.

Identity is complex, but two key factors shape it: Authenticity and Authority.

Authenticity is being genuine and true to yourself. For humans, it shows through our unique DNA, experiences, and memories. No one else has your exact combination—proof of a brilliant Creator.

Authority is the influence around us—people, culture, passions, social media, and God. It shapes our values, priorities, choices, and relationships. Authority can guide us toward growth or pull us away from our true selves.

I learned this firsthand in my heavy metal phase. I tried to fit in, seeking identity and strength through the community, but it led to depression and unhealthy habits. That experience showed me that living out authenticity while being mindful of authority is essential to discovering who we truly are.

Our identity isn’t just mind and body—it includes spirit. Without the spiritual aspect, we remain incomplete. We were created in the image of our Heavenly Father, and understanding Him is the key to discovering our authentic selves. True wholeness comes from knowing God, seeking truth, and aligning our lives with His purpose.

Everyone is welcome to explore their identity in these spaces. Pubs, coffee shops, and other open venues can offer a unique atmosphere to reflect, grow, and challenge our perspectives. The goal is to create an environment where real connections happen, healing is possible, and people can become confident and stable in who they are.
