Growing up, I thought I would never amount to anything. I believed I wasn’t good enough, smart enough, or
articulate enough.

However, when I moved from Germany to the UK, something amazing happened — I finally met Jesus.

I had heard about Jesus before, as I grew up in a household where His name was mentioned, but his teachings were not highlighted. Therefore, I didn’t really understand what it meant to have a relationship with Him. Most importantly, I didn’t understand His love or why He had to die for us on the cross.

I met Jesus at 15 years old, and I still remember that day like it was yesterday. It was a personal encounter, and it was special because I was never forced. I didn’t grow up in a household where Christianity was practiced; Jesus was mentioned, but His teachings and what it truly meant to follow Christ were never discussed.

Meeting Him for myself as a teenager was beautiful. I was able to create my own relationship with Him — one that wasn’t forced or controlled, but meaningful and peaceful.

When I began studying the Bible, I received my first Bible, and after 17 years, I still have it.

When I first got saved, I was lost and confused. But when I experienced the Holy Spirit, I encountered God’s love, and for the first time, I understood what it meant to be loved by a Heavenly Father. I finally knew that I was worthy — worthy to be forgiven, worthy to be loved, and worthy enough that Jesus would die for me.

I have now been walking with Christ for 17 years, and He is the very essence of who I am. He is my firm foundation — the One who loved me and saved me when I thought no one could.

I am still growing in my faith on a daily basis, but what matters most is that the Lord has been my priority for many years. Therefore, I encourage you to discover who Jesus Christ truly is. He can change you and transform you — He did it for me, and it was all worth it.

Now I write poetry for the Lord, with the desire to inspire people through words I have received from the Holy Spirit—revealing who the Lord is and what He has done for us. Never in a million years did I think I would be able to write for the Lord, but about three years ago, He gave me this gift. Through it, I am able to reach people with His words, and that alone is an amazing testimony.

One encounter can change everything.

My favourite scriptures, Jeremiah 29:11 and Isaiah 41:10, remind me that God has an amazing plan for our lives and that we do not need to fear, because He will rescue us and uphold us in both the good and the difficult seasons.
