The Gap Project

While sharing my webpage, many people asked about the project’s name. I wanted something easy to remember that clearly reflects my ministry. After a month of publishing blogs and reflecting on the right name, I came up with “The Gap Project”. The word gap has several meanings: it can refer to something set apart, a free space, or something unfilled or disconnected. In business, a “gap” is an opportunity to provide something others aren’t

offering.

“The gap symbolizes the space between people. The gap can be seen in differences of opinion, different cultures, different ages, lifestyles and beliefs that separate us from understanding and respecting one another.”

A local pub or coffee-shop setting is naturally a place where people gather and connect. For me, The Gap Project makes perfect sense as a vibrant space full of opportunities to bridge these gaps, bringing people together through conversations, debates, workshops, and shared experiences.

The purpose of The Gap Project is not only to bridge social barriers but also to create a space where people who might never seek community can encounter Christ. It meets people where they are, in a neutral, welcoming setting that encourages them to be themselves, share honestly, and explore faith at their own pace. Through these encounters, it fosters personal growth, understanding of Christianity, and spiritual development. Ultimately, the vision of The Gap Project is to break barriers and build unity through authentic conversations that lead to experiencing the truth in Jesus Christ
