Overview Of My Motivation

Over the years, I have developed a sustained passion for automotive culture, particularly muscle cars and motorcycles, as well as for organizing social events and engaging with music, especially rock. Just as Jesus met me in a pub, I hope others can experience His grace in similar settings. For traditional churchgoers, the idea of encountering Jesus outside a church may be challenging. It may even challenge those who stereotype believers to see that you can pursue these passions and love Jesus at the same time.

Our project, hosted in venues where people naturally gather—such as coffee shops, community halls, or casual meeting spots—can also welcome those who have drifted from the faith due to different theological views or negative church experiences. With people from diverse backgrounds and passions, these environments offer another avenue to experience the Gospel. We are all searching for answers. We realize that politics, the economy, and society cannot provide them all. So why not seek answers in a space where you feel comfortable, while enjoying music, conversation, and your favorite drink?

Have you ever considered spending a Sunday in a coffee shop rather than a church? Or have you felt out of place in a church, unsure whether you would be judged? Our project provides the comfort, time, and welcoming atmosphere to hear the Good News in a relaxed, authentic setting. I aim to create gathering spaces where people feel safe to be themselves, even during challenging conversations or conflicts. I have confidence that these venues can withstand real-world challenges while fostering genuine connection and engagement.

It may seem that this concept resembles an “emerging” ministry from a liberal-minded church. However, emerging movements often emphasize validating feelings as truth rather than the Gospel itself, adapting it to current cultural, political, or social trends. Prioritizing trends over truth risks diluting the Good News. Our project, on the other hand, while offering a welcoming, inclusive environment, remains grounded in the core foundation of truth.

In the past, I struggled with “church culture” and Christian formalities, which pushed me away from God. I have empathy for those who do not want to engage with traditional church structures, theology, or gospel frameworks. Many people are disappointed with existing churches or feel they do not fit the standard mold. This is natural—we are all different—and sometimes churches produce “cookie-cutter” experiences that fail to resonate.

How would people encounter Jesus in our project? Unlike conventional spaces, the goal is to host forums, debates, and interviews across a variety of topics, connecting passions like music and motorcycles with faith. By creating welcoming venues—coffee shops, community halls, and other social hubs—people can engage with the Gospel in a way that feels authentic, approachable, and meaningful.
